Warframe is Digital Extremes’ third game, and it has been eight years in the making. The game was originally conceived as Dark Sector, but after a successful Kickstarter campaign the developers decided to change direction. Now that the game is nearing release, they are finally able to see how much work has gone into it since then.
The warframe the new war chapter 3 release date is a piece of news that has been anticipated for years. Warframe’s next content update will be released on December 18th, 2018.
Warframe has captivated gamers for almost eight years with fluid gameplay, a silky-smooth movement system, and a wide range of weapons and Warframes to learn. The narrative, on the other hand, is an essential but frequently overlooked element of the game.
It’s difficult to go into great depth without giving anything away, but the basic premise is that players assume the role of a warrior race. Originally created as a weapon, the Tenno now flock to the Lotus, a motherly figure who tries to bring order to a shattered cosmos.
If there is one legitimate complaint of Warframe’s narrative, it is that key story beats may take a long time to reach. However, Warframe developer company Digital Extremes has been hard at work on the game’s next big chapter, and gamers are now gearing up for The New War, Warframe’s next major story expansion.
Digital Extremes’ live operations and community director Rebecca Ford was kind enough to answer some questions regarding The New War, development pressures, and iterating until everything is perfect.
TennoCon 2021 started the teasing, with a live gameplay demo promising something never seen before in Warframe’s history: playable characters that aren’t Tenno. “Players have been waiting for this moment for a long time, and we’ve now been able to offer them a taste of what’s to come,” Ford added. “It’s a particularly significant revelation since we were able to personally introduce The New War to our players at TennoCon, a celebratory event created exclusively for them.”
However, getting to the revelation wasn’t always simple. Digital Extremes, like the rest of the video game business, has been affected by Covid-19, and the crew spends a significant amount of time working from home. “The fact is, the Covid 2020 modifications put us farther behind than we would have liked,” Ford added.
It was inevitable that the speed of work would be affected since teams who would usually be within talking distance were split up and all contact was dependent on technological methods. The crew, like so many others, was able to adjust and knuckle down, conscious of the necessity of making work on the new narrative material. “We’re not pleased it’s taken this long to reintroduce The New War to gamers, but gosh, does it feel good.”
Another issue that Digital Extremes had to deal with before moving on to new material was the need to refine and improve current systems. Warframe is a multi-layered game, and new upgrades are often dependent on content drops from years past. For example, The New War would need a method of gradually exposing the danger of the Sentients, and Railjack, Warframe’s space combat component, seemed ideal. Railjack, on the other hand, had to first deliver on its promise.

“In terms of both the breadth of the content and the promise we had to keep to our players, Railjack was one of Warframe’s most ambitious upgrades ever,” Ford stated. “Railjack’s community reaction and performance have been very promising. Railjack needed to be more accessible and enjoyable to play. It’s a fantastic example of how cooperative gaming can be reinforced and rewarded, and our gamers want more of it.” As a consequence, Railjack was given several runs to add new content, adjust systems, and enhance the overall experience flow.
The outcome is one of Warframe’s most enjoyable pastimes, a great setting for players to delve deep into the core of gigantic Sentient ships, attempting to halt their march into the Origin system, which has witnessed eight years of conflict and battle.
The narrative is the true star of the show, and it will establish the tone for Warframe for years to come, therefore the crew must take great care and attention. “There’s a lot of pressure to ‘get the narrative right,’ but at the end of the day, this is a personal story about identity that gamers can connect to on many levels,” Ford added.
For the first time, The Fresh War will provide new viewpoints to the story, promising to be the most distinctive branch of Warframe’s story to yet. Players will see and experience the narrative outside of the restrictions that they have become used to over the years, thanks to characters like as a Grineer soldier named Kahl-175, a Corpus engineer named Veso, and fan-favorite futuristic swordmaster Teshin.
Most significantly, The New War will delve into the ever-evolving connection between the Tenno and the Lotus, which has evolved into the game’s emotional heart throughout time. “We have known the significance to our gamers from the last moments of The Second Dream, all the way up to where we are now with heading into The New War, and we have put everything into The New War experience,” Ford added.
Many online groups are feeling closer than ever as the majority of the globe hopes to soon be able to leave the worldwide epidemic behind them. People have turned to games like Warframe as a source of stress reduction because they share concerns about the future and are looking for a method to divert ourselves from them. In many respects, Warframe’s creators were in the unfortunate situation of being both afflicted by the epidemic and serving as a focal point for a community eager for something to do. “We’re simply grateful to be able to do what we love and watch the community react so positively to what we produce for and with them,” Ford added.
The warframe mobile release date is the release date for Warframe’s new update. Digital Extremes has been working on this game since 2008, and it will finally come together in just a few weeks.
